This is it -- my story, my family's story -- the good, the bad, and the very, very stinky. Usually the bad days make the funniest stories...fair warning, they usually involve poop and some level of tears (possibly mine).
Maple Glazed Pork Chops (You can thank me later for this yummmmmmy dinner. Not kidding when I say that this dish is capable of making The Cabana Boy pack up his stuff and leave work early.)
*most will want to double this recipe, as it only serves 2
Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 bone-in pork loin chops (7 ounces each)
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1-1/2 teaspoons butter, melted
1-1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
Directions:
Combine the first five ingredients; rub over pork chops. Place in a greased 11-in. x 7-in. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 425° for 20 minutes. Combine the remaining ingredients; pour over chops. Bake 5 minutes longer or until meat juices run clear. Yield: 2 servings.
Easy, Yummy Chili Cheese Dip (the leftovers make a great filling for an omelet, by the way)
Ingredients: 1 brick cream cheese (I use the neufatchel low fat stuff) 1 can hot, no bean chili 2 cups (or more if you are a super cheesy person) shredded cheese - usually monterey jack/colby, sharp cheddar or one of the mexican blends
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350. Spray an 8x8 glass dish with cooking spray and spread the cream cheese around the bottom evenly. Spread the chili over the cream cheese and top it all with the shredded cheese. Serve with chips (fritos are the best!) and enjoy.

But it makes for a good picture!
She loves that lollipop! Poor baby with the runny nose - hopes she is feeling okay. There seems to be lots of that stuff going around!
That's a crack up! Especially when you zoom it ;0
Don't you just love this time of year- never good for the nose!
Looks like she's enjoying it!
Lets's see, how many of those faces have I wiped clean? Too many to count!
What's fun is when you order and pay for studio pictures before you notice the little clear drip under their nose, OR the eye booger! Not that that has ever happened to me. ;)
Those dreaded blue suckers - but they sure taste good!
MMmmmwwwaaaa!! Even with a runny nose and a blue face, she's the cutest little Hurricane I know! Love her.
Looks like the snot bubbles will begin to blow anytime now- at least she is enjoying the sucker - who cares about the snot? hahhaah
I ditto what Mari said! :) I hope Miss G is feeling better soon and that the cold will be self contained.
Oh that's funny! Somedays I feel like I've just been covered in snot, pee, and poop All day long! I guess that's one part of this phase of life we might NOT miss!
Thanks for the sweet comment on my "losing weight" post. What exactly is Mini-me Monday? Is it basically a weigh-in? I can use all the accountability I can get!
When you posted this pic on pg.org, Ruthie was eating a blue one too. She looked just like that. She is still a doll, with a blue mouth or not!
My girls have constant green running right now...fun when the hair gets in it! She's still cute!
Suzie ate a blue lollipop yesterday and looked like a smurf
Poor little thing. BUT, I just love her face here! I could just squeeze those cheeks!! :)
